Kids write letters asking Trump to be kind

Q13`s Annie Andrews reports

SEATTLE – “The mean man won.” Those four words from her son gave Molly Spencer Sahebjami the idea to start a Facebook group that now has over 12-thousand members.

The idea is simple. It’s a Facebook group where children up to 18 years old can write letters to President-elect Donald Trump about the importance of being kind to others.

It’s called: “Dear President Trump: Letters from Kids About Kindness”

The Seattle mom said within hours of launching the group, the day after the election, over a thousand members joined. And it keeps growing.

Sahebjami she says she hopes the parents posting their kids letters to the group will also mail them.

She lists the group’s address as Trump Tower in New York (Trump Tower, 725 5th Ave, NY, NY 10022).

"This is your role in democracy. It is to express yourself articulately. And try to create connects with people, tell your story personally, and bring people together," Sahebjami says. "The more we know about each other and understand each other. I think that's a really powerful thing."
