LOS ANGELES -- Taylor Swift announced on Thursday her mom has been diagnosed with cancer.
Swift wrote a Tumblr post explaining she asked her mom to get screened for any health issues at Christmas.
Swift said she hopes that her fans will encourage their parents to get checked.
