Debunking the COVID-19 internment camp conspiracy theory

A Washington state congressional candidate recently congratulated a crowd for protesting outside of our health department. This comes after a rumor that leaders had a plan to round up anyone who won't get vaccinated in internment camps. That plan never existed, but the lie spread like wildfire throughout Washington anyway. Co-founder of the UW Center for an Informed Public Kate Starbird explained what happened on FOX 13 Morning News.
