Coaches and teachers at Lummi Nation School and Muckleshoot Tribal High School are instilling lessons for life through the game of football. Part of a broader effort at tribal schools across Indian Country to infuse the Western education system with their traditional languages, cultures, and customs. FOX 13 Seattle’s documentary unit is honored to be invited to game day and to share this multi-generational story about reclaiming heritage while preparing young people for success.
