On the Sidelines S2E3: Seahawks offseason update, Kraken back from break
FOX 13 Sports Digital Content Producer Curtis Crabtree joins Ethan and Dante for this week's episode. The three discuss the ongoing the Seahawks offseason with multiple decisions needing to be made on key contributors that are now free agents. Curtis explains how he would handle Ken Walker's presumably lofty price tag and explains which players he would prioritize re-signing, as well as how incoming extensions for Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Devon Witherspoon could impact some offseason decisions. The guys then breakdown the Mariners team heading into a 2026 season that is filled with high expectations both from the fanbase and inside their clubhouse. They examine the lineup, rotation, and bullpen discussing strengths and weaknesses of the roster and dive into how the World Baseball Classic could impact the start of the season. The Kraken are back from the Olympic break, and the team finds themselves in a fascinating situation with the trade deadline coming up next week. Curtis explains why he wouldn't go all in on this current roster despite their status as a playoff team if the season ended today but also discusses how both buying and selling could be the appropriate way to handle the upcoming deadline. The guys finish the episode with three questions from producer Austin Lane, including which sports month is their favorite of the year.
