Tacoma police search for second vehicle in death of WSP trooper

Investigators say they are searching for a second vehicle believed to be involved in the death of Washington State Patrol Trooper Tara-Marysa Guting, who was killed Friday night on SR-509 near Port of Tacoma Road. Tacoma police say a dark-colored pickup struck the trooper after an initial crash and left the scene, prompting a call for the public’s help as the memorial for Guting continues to grow.
