16-year-old Shorecrest High student had notebook with 'plans to shoot up school,' court document says
SEATTLE -- A 16-year-old Shorecrest High School student had a notebook with "plans to shoot up school" and admitted he had "a hit list" of students he planned to shoot, a King County court document said Thursday.
The teenager was arrested at the school in Shoreline Wednesday. A King County judge on Thursday found probable cause to hold the boy in the county's juvenile detention facility on suspicion of assault and felony harassment.
In the probable cause document filed in court, a King County sheriff's detective wrote that the student was arrested after he "put a razor blade up to another students neck because student took notebook."
The notebook "contained plans to shoot up school and after constitutional rights ... (he) admitted to plans on shooting students at school and had a hit list."
According to the document, the student had also been involved in a stalking case at Shorecrest High School.
The deadline for a charging decision is May 2.
