AUBURN -- A 21-year-old mother was arrested after her 3-year-old daughter was found dead with significant bruising on her body, Auburn police said.
At 9:47 p.m. Tuesday, Auburn police were dispatched to a report of a CPR in progress at a home in the 400 block of 23rd Street SE in Auburn. When police arrived, they found a dead 3-year-old girl with significant bruising. The girl's mother, who was allegedly seen performing CPR on the girl, was arrested at the scene.
An autopsy on the child's body is scheduled, police said.
A 2-month-old girl also at the home was given to protective custody.
