YAKIMA -- A 7-year-old was shot in an apparent drive by hat killed one and injured two including the boy Monday in Yakima, police said.
Shots rang out around 9:30 p.m. in the 100 block of D Street in Yakima, the Yakima County Sheriff's Office said. Sheriff's deputies and officers with the Sunnyside and Granger Police Departments called to the scene found three victims.
One of the victims, a 7-year-old boy, was flown to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Two other adult males were transported to Sunnyside Hospital in Yakima. One of the men died at the hospital, deputies said.
The name of the deceased was not released pending notification of his family.
Police are investigating the incident.
