Eagle dies after collision with truck
A low-flying bald eagle died after colliding with a truck Tuesday morning on State Route 16.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the raptor was taken to a rehabilitation facility after crashing into the window of a truck.
West Sound Wildlife Shelter on Bainbridge Island said the eagle suffered massive internal hemorrhaging and internal bleeding as well as damage to the spleen.
The eagle will be taken to the National Wildlife Property Repository in Colorado.
