Colby Pretz: Auburn Riverside student overcomes muscle disease, graduates

AUBURN, Wash. -- A community, a family and a school helped a student beat the odds, graduate high school and get accepted to the University of Washington.

All month Q13 News has been sharing stories of Generation Next, high school seniors who are the first to grow up from birth with social media. In this era where the world's information is as close as your smartphone, it still takes a village to raise a child.

This is the story of Colby Pretz, an Auburn Riverside High School graduate who didn't let a debilitating illness stop him from achieving his goals.
