BREMERTON - A Subaru Legacy sedan hit two pedestrians walking along Tracyton Boulevard NW early Wednesday, killing a 23-year-old woman and critically injuring a 25 year-old man.
The car hit the pedestrians early this morning in the 5500 block of Tracyton Boulevard NW, the Kitsap Sheriff's Office reported.
The injured woman was declared dead at the crash scene and the man was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with life-threatening injuries
The driver of the car was arrested by Sheriff's deputies for one count of vehicular homicide and one count of vehicular assault. The car, which was traveling northbound when the collision happened, was occupied by the driver and two passengers. I
t was not immediately known if the driver was on the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Tracyton Boulevard was closed Wednesday morning while police investigated the scene.
