TACOMA -- A local family planning to move to California underwent a bevy of emotions Thursday morning, after a U-Haul truck loaded with their things was stolen but later found.
The family currently lives at a gated apartment community in Tacoma. But they packed all their things into a U-Haul trailer in anticipation of moving to California Thursday.
When they woke up, their U-Haul was gone from the parking lot. Stolen from their gated community. Along with all their possessions.

"If they want to steal the lives of other people, that's just how they live," the victim said.
Detectives on the Washington State Patrol's Auto Crimes Enforcement (ACE) Task Force in Pierce County located the U-Haul near the family's home just hours after it went missing.
At least some of the items were still in the truck.
Police are investigating the incident, and trying to determine what, if anything, was stolen. Anyone who has information on this case is encouraged to call 911.
