Man dies after being shot multiple times outside West Seattle Stadium; no suspect found

SEATTLE -- A man in his 40s was shot multiple times in the parking lot of West Seattle Stadium Tuesday night, police said.

The victim was rushed to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, where he later died, police said.

The shooting took place shortly after 7:30 p.m.  in the 4400 block of 35th Avenue SW.

A community track meet was taking place at the stadium when shots rang out.

"Officers arrived within minutes, and located the victim, a male in his forties, on the ground," the Seattle Police Department said. "The victim had sustained life-threatening injuries after he was struck several times by bullets."

Seattle police said they had no suspect description.
