Meet the Delegates: Army vet from Des Moines delivers vote at Republican National Convention

DES MOINES, Wash. -- Martin Metz, of Des Moines, is among the GOP delegates from Washington state attending the Republican National Convention in Cleveland -- and he does not support Donald Trump.

In fact, as Matt Lorch shows us, Metz isn't sure he'll vote for Trump in November. But because of the outcome of the Republican primary in Washington state, he was obligated at the convention to cast his vote for Trump.

“My take on it basically is, I’m here because the voters of Washington sent us forward to do a mission," Metz said in an interview. " And on the first ballot I will do that mission.”

But, he adds, “I don’t believe he (Trump) was the best candidate. But he’s the candidate that we have. Still if you were going to say, who am I going to vote for in November? I don’t know.”
