SEATTLE -- A favorite ice cream shop has reopened following a scare involving potentially harmful bacteria.
Molly Moon's closed two weeks ago after Snoqualmie Ice Cream in Snohomish issued a voluntary recall of all it's products, fearing they could contain listeria monocytogenes, an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections .
Molly Moon's makes its own ice cream, but used dairy and sugar from Snoqualmie Ice Cream.
The popular Seattle shop announced it's opening in a blog post Friday:
Snoqualmie Gourmet Ice Cream Inc. issued the recall on Dec. 23 of all ice cream, gelato, custard and sorbet for all flavors and sizes produced on or after Jan. 1, 2014 and before Dec. 1, 2014.
No illnesses were reported, and the recall was done as a precautionary measure.
