BELLEVUE -- A new driver crashed into a nursery Tuesday morning, police said, narrowly missing a crib with a 9-month-old baby inside.
The Bellevue Police Department tweeted about the incident at 11 a.m. According to police, the driver mistook the brake for the gas pedal and slammed into the nursery at the Hampton Green Apartments in the 4700 block of 148th Avenue NE.
The car stopped against a crib with a baby inside. The baby was "miraculously" unhurt, police said. It is unknown how many children were in the nursery.
