MADERA, Calif. -- A man who spray-painted his face black in an effort to better hide himself will now spend his nights behind bars, FOX 40 reports.
Jose Espinoza was on the run after being caught with a stolen car. Police later found him hiding in the woods, his face spray-pained black in an effort to hide himself, police told FOX 40. .
Police booked Espinoza into the Madera County Department of Corrections. He is expected to be charged with auto theft.
The spray paint bottle Espinzoa used on his face has allegedly been taken as evidence, ABC News reports.
