Report: Man carrying baby brutally attacked by mob of teens (VIDEO)

MEMPHIS -- Police are investigating an apparent "mob" of rowdy high school students who allegedly beat a man at a crowded Tennessee gas station while he was holding a child, News Channel 3 reports.

According to News Channel 3, the group of teens at the gas station was "out of control." One witness said she did not even feel safe getting out of the car while parked at the station.

"As I was going out the door this other gentleman walked out and hollered at them and asked them to be quiet and get off of the parking lot," witness Mary Fuller said.

The group allegedly attacked the man, after one of the kids "sucker punched" him, News Channel 3 reports.  After the man had been punched in the head, dozens of teenagers swarmed the gas station. Customers inside of the store jumped in, and workers held the door shut as the teens rushed the entryway.

The victim made a mad dash for the car where, he said, one teen threw punches just inches away from a baby's head the man was holding.

Police investigating the alleged attack said the baby was not hurt, but the victim was reportedly bruised all over his upper body.

Police claimed the teenagers also damaged the victim's car. Officers are trying to uncover the identity of the attackers.
