SEATTLE -- He looks a tad cranky. Maybe he doesn't like how his feathers look?
Lead Woodland Park Zoo keeper Stephanie Miller was in the cage of an endangered blue-billed curassow recently when she decided to snap some pictures. The curassow, native to Colombia, took an unusual interest in the camera, the zoo reports.
So Miller decided to give the bird a chance to play with the phone. What he did surprised many, including -- it appears -- the bird.
"Playing along, Stephanie reversed the camera so he could see himself on the screen," zoo officials write. "And that's when he pecked at it, amazingly hitting the shutter button just right to take this perfect selfie!"

The blue-billed curassow -- a member of the cracid family -- is critically endangered, and indigenous to Northeastern Colombia.
