Shooting at Renton hotel seriously injures two

RENTON - An exchange of gunfire outside a Renton hotel early Saturday morning sends two people to the hospital with injuries.

Renton Police investigators say that over two dozen rounds were fired at a function being held at the hotel. When officers arrived, they found a large crowd outside and while several people were there at the time of the shooting, no one gave police a detailed description of the shooters or information about what led up to the shooting.

A 22-year-old Renton man was found in the hotel lot, and an 18-year-old Des Moines man was found outside a nearby gas station.

Both suffered serious, but not life-threatening injuries.
