KENT -- Suspected human remains were found along the Green River near Kent, the King County Sheriff's Office said Thursday.
Sheriff's Sgt. Stan Seo confirmed the remains were found late Wednesday afternoon off Frager Road South in unincorporated King County.
He said passersby called 911 at about 5 p.m. Wednesday after they discovered the remains.
A sheriff's spokesman said the remains had not been there a long time.
The remains were turned over to the medical examiner's office for identification and cause of death.
