FIFE -- A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a semi-truck late Saturday morning on I-5, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The medical examiner identified the victim as a 42-year-old Auburn man.
Several lanes were blocked as troopers investigated the crash which happened around 11:20 a.m. in the northbound lanes of I-5 near 54th. Southbound traffic was also moving slowly through the area.
Troopers said there was a 9-mile backup stretching from Fife to Federal Way after crews cleared the scene Saturday afternoon.
Further details about the crash were not released.
