Truck careens off ramp and falls onto I-405
BOTHELL, Wash. -- Interstate 405 was closed in both directions at State Route 522 near Bothell for hours Friday night when a semi went off a ramp and fell about 60 feet onto I-405 below; the driver was killed in the crash, the Washington State Patrol said.
Trooper Chis Webb tweeted that the truck was traveling westbound on the SR 522 ramp to southbound I-405 when the driver apparently lost control and the vehicle left the ramp and crashed to I-405 below.
Webb said the driver of the tractor-trailer was killed. There were no other injuries.
