Seattle mayor Katie Wilson announces resignation of police chief Shon Barnes

Seattle Police Chief Shon Barnes has resigned, and Mayor Katie B. Wilson appointed Deputy Chief Andre Sayles as the interim chief. Mayor Wilson and Sayles will hold a press conference at City Hall on Friday at 11 a.m. to discuss the transition and the search for a permanent chief.
