Threatening Liquor Thieves: Can you ID suspect who's getaway buddy told clerk, 'I'm going to shoot and kill you.'

WANTED IN SEATTLE -- It seems like it won't be long before one of the liquor thieves plaguing grocery stores ends up shooting someone. One suspect threatened to do it to a clerk at a Safeway store in Seattle. Take a look at the photos of a guy detectives say stuffed bottles of booze inside his jacket. He came into the store alone. Seattle police need to know what his name is. He was wearing that blue hooded sweatshirt, baggy blue jeans and tennis shoes. He looks to be about 18 to 21 years old.

In the photo above of him leaving the store, you can see his hand on the bottle sticking out of the side of his sweatshirt. Cops say a produce clerk spotted him ripping off the liquor. "The suspect in this case leaves the store,” says Ret. Det. Myrle Carner with Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound. “He's out walking towards the suspect vehicle. He's followed by the clerk or the victim in this case. As the victim gets closer to the suspect vehicle, he's attempting to write down the license plate. All of a sudden there's a second suspect in the vehicle, the right front. Suspect looks at the victim and says, "I'm going to shoot and kill you, then makes an overt action towards the glove box.”

Detectives say that same vehicle has been used in a similar incident in Kent.
