Seattle weather: Rainy day Friday

HEADLINES: Widespread rain showers and mountain snow overnight and Friday. Warmer temperatures too, in the upper 40s in the Seattle area. Since January 11, every day has been below average temperature wise. On Friday we could be back to average - which is 49 degrees for Jan. 31. Rain and snow mix late Friday into Saturday morning, especially in Snohomish and North King Counties. The rest of Saturday will bring just light rain as the temperature warms.

LOOKING AHEAD: The best chance of snow on Saturday evening will be north of Everett. There is limited precipitation in the forecast for Sunday night into Monday morning, but if we do get moisture it will most likely be snow. Monday morning’s commute could be impacted. Temperatures will remain very chilly next week with highs in the mid 30s and overnight lows in the mid 20s. However, no widespread snow is expected.
