BOTHELL -- A 19-year-old Bothell man was arrested Monday for allegedly stabbing his grandmother.
The incident was reported around 4 a.m. when the 58-year-old victim said her grandson had attacked her with a knife while she slept at her home near the 2200 block of 196th Steet SW, the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office said.
The suspect, who had been living with the victim, fled the home, but was located after a search of the area by a K-9 unit, the sheriff's office said.
The suspect was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Snohomish County jail for first-degree attempted murder.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where she remains in critical condition, the sheriff's office said.
