SEATAC, Wash. -- An 86-year-old woman was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after she was hit by a car Tuesday afternoon.
According to the King County Sheriff's Office, the woman stepped off of the sidewalk on S 148th Street in SeaTac and was struck by a small SUV.
Officials say the driver of the SUV stayed at the scene and called 9-1-1.
Deputies said the investigation was just beginning and they would provide more information as it becomes available.
