SEATTLE -- You’ve probably noticed their trucks all over town; a service from a bygone era that a lot of people still use to this day: Milk delivery.
Smith Brothers Farms has been around since 1920. Known for their farm-fresh dairy products, they still deliver to customers all over the Puget Sound area from their farm in Kent Valley.
Bill and Kaci wondered what it was really like to be a Milk Man those days- or is it Milk Ma’am? Milk Person? – so they headed out with one of the drivers to try their hand at delivering milk (and, apparently, to learn the proper milk delivery terms.)
Along the way, they learned it was harder than it looked- Jeremie typically has anywhere from 150 to 200 stops to get to each day, and there are multiple orders to fill on many of them. Since Bill and Kaci can’t seem to do a story without declaring a “winner” of sorts, they raced from porch to porch throughout the Seattle area, vying for the coveted title of Top Milk Deliverer.
