Chicken corn dogs recalled from Foster Poultry Farms

Foster Poultry Farms is recalling several corn dog products. 

It follows a much larger recall that began last month, which involved several more millions of pounds of corn dog products from various other brands. 

The following products are included in the latest recall

Recalled items:

The recall involves several products from Foster Poultry Farms.

The products were produced between July 30, 2024, through August 4, 2025, and have establishment number "P-6137B" either inside the USDA mark of inspection or printed on the packaging.

More than 3.8 million pounds of product is included in the recall. 

Reason for recall:

The Food Safety and Inspection Service began receiving complaints, and learned of five injuries. The company investigated and learned wooden sticks entered the production process prior to the products being battered. 

Sold at:

These items were sold online and shipped to retail and food service locations nationwide. They were also sold commercially to school districts, not through the USDA school lunch program, and to Department of Defense facilities nationwide.

Why you should care:

Consumers, schools, and institutions who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them to prevent any further injury. 

What you can do:

These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.

Meanwhile:

More than 58 million pounds of other corn dog and sausage on a stick products have been recalled for the same reason. 

Those products included products from Hillshire, most sold under the brand name Jimmy Dean and State Farm with various use by/sell by dates.
