Q13 FOX News

SEATTLE -- Supporters of Junior Achievement of Washington raised $415,000 at the 19th Dare to Dream dinner and auction on Safeco Field Saturday night.

Diners sat where the team plays and bid on 30 items including the opportunity to throw out the first pitch at a Mariners game, a round of golf with Seahawks star Jermaine Kearse and a trip to Maui.

Alaska Airlines sponsored the fundraiser so JA of Washington can continue working to help students understand the importance of entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and work readiness.

“Even in the airline business, you work hard, make decisions and you sow it forward. It’s the same with young lives. To give them a vision and a goal and to give them something to strive for and help them be the best they can be.”  said Andrew Harrison, Alaska Airlines Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer.

Other sponsors included Simulab, BECU and the Seattle Mariners.
