Federal Way woman stabbed by trick-or-treater when she opened her door, police say
FEDERAL WAY, Wash. -- Police said a woman who opened her door to give candy to a trick-or-treater Monday night was instead stabbed in the abdomen by the teenager, who then fled.
Police said officers responded to a home in the 31900 block of 14th Way SW and found the victim had sustained a non-life-threatening stab wound. She was taken to the hospital, police said.
She reported that she opened her door and gave candy to a trick-or-treater, described as a 14- or 15-year-old black male, who then stabbed her in the abdomen and ran away.
A K-9 search for the suspect failed to locate the suspect, police said.
Officers were canvassing the neighborhood to try to develop more information, police said.
No other details were immediately released.
