INDEX, Wash. -- U.S. Route 2 was blocked west of Mount Index Road late Monday afternoon due to an overturned semi that was carrying apples ... a lot of them.
The Washington Department of Transportation tweeted this photo of the spilled apples along the highway.
No injuries were reported.
At about 5:35 p.m., WSDOT said the eastbound and westbound lanes were alternating.
