Goodbye stars, hello hearts! Twitter replaces 'favorites' with 'likes'

If you've logged in to Twitter, you may have noticed a change.

You can still reply, retweet and direct message, but that star we've all become so familiar with is gone.

In Twitter and Vine, "favorites" (stars) have officially been replaced with "likes" (hearts).

Twitter made the announcement in a blog post Tuesday morning.

Many people reacted questioning the move, while some embraced it, and others had some suggestions.

We asked you in a Twitter poll which do you prefer? Vote below:

Twitter says you will see hearts on Twitter for iOS and Android, twitter.com, TweetDeck, Twitter for Windows 10, and on Tweets across the Internet, as well as on the Vine Android app and website. You’ll see them soon on Vine for iOS and Twitter for Mac.
