FUGITIVE CAPTURED May 31, 2015 -- Michael Ryther was arrested by Seattle Police on May 31, 2015 FUGITIVE WANTED BY DOC IN KING COUNTY May 22, 2015 -- A convicted felon who just got out of prison for his role in a violent home invasion is missing in King County. Michael Ryther and two other men went to a man's home back in 2008 under the guise of engaging in a sexual encounter, but instead started ransacking the home and unleashed a vicious attack on the victim. "Ryther and his two associates dragged the victim all the way up to his office,” says Department of Corrections Ofc. Emily Isaacs. “They stole his laptop, his wallet, his car keys, demanded the pin number to his credit card. They ended up pushing him down the stairs and when the victim tried to crawl outside to yell for help they jumped on him, they started punching him in the head, they punched him in the groin. Ryther produced a seven to nine inch blade and said, 'If you don't cooperate I'm going to kill you.' One of the other associates grabbed a bottle of Pine Sol, a floor cleaning agent, poured it all over the victim and his house and said if you don't cooperate we're going to torch this house. After they beat him up they then dragged him down to his basement, they then ransacked the basement, left him duct taped, tied to the basement floor. He ended up being able to crawl out through the backdoor and and escape to a neighbors house where they called 911.” Seattle police caught all of them. Ryther was tried, convicted, and sentenced to prison. After getting out he never checked in with the Department of Corrections in King County where he's under supervision for Kidnapping, Unlawful Imprisonment, Robbery, Burglary and stealing a car.
He’s a high-violent gang member and inked with a ton of tattoos including the name "Ashley" on his chest and the word "Remember" on his left forearm.
