‘I need her, we all need her': Family, police search for missing grandmother
OLYMPIA, Wash. -- Olympia Police detectives are searching for a missing grandmother from Lacey.
Gail Doyle’s family said they haven’t heard from or seen her since late Thursday night and police are worried for her safety.
The missing woman’s family told Q13 News she missed both a graduation party and babysitting appointment over the weekend, which is highly unusual.
Police believe Doyle was last seen at Devoe Street SE and Martin Way E in Olympia. Investigators are scouring for clues while Doyle’s family is searching for answers.
“I want my mom,” sobbed Gail’s daughter, Laci Doyle. “I need her, we all need her.”
Doyle’s family is beside themselves with worry – worry about what has happened to the grandmother they call their rock.
“I want her home for me but I also want her home for my daughter because my daughter needs her,” sobbed Laci.
Olympia Police said Doyle hasn’t been seen since around 10 p.m. Thursday.
Her family began plastering fliers everywhere, hoping someone may recognize her and call police.
Investigators said Gail, 60, is 5-foot-3 and about 100 pounds. Gail also wears long blonde hair and green eyes.
The Doyle family said they’re trying to stay strong – and they are hoping grandma will show up safe and sound, and soon.
“I’m just telling myself that she’s going to be here, we’re going to find her, she’s going to come home and everything is going to go back to normal,” said Laci.
Olympia Police said their detectives are actively investigating the case, calling Gail’s disappearance suspicious.
Anyone with information is urged to call the Olympia Police Department.
