Lake Stevens police search for 19-year-old suspect after teen hit by car, stabbed repeatedly

LAKE STEVENS, Wash. -- Police are searching for a 19-year-old from Lake Stevens after they say a teenager was struck by a car and then stabbed repeatedly in the back.

Lake Stevens police were called on Friday to the 500 block of 102nd Dr SE for the report of a 17-year-old boy who had been struck by a car that fled the area.

The teen suffered non life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital.

Authorities said the car was driven by Alexander Lamoureux. He is wanted and thought to be driving a 2-door black 2000 Honda Accord which may have suffered damage.

Late Monday afternoon, detectives "received a tip" regarding the whereabouts of the car. The vehicle was found in northern Snohomish County, Lake Stevens Police said, and it was being impounded as evdience. Lamoureux remains at large, police said.

Authorities said a female passenger who was involved has already turned herself in to police.
