SEATTLE -- Seattle's own Macklemore and Ryan Lewis debuted a new single Wednesday called Growing Up (Sloane's Song) feat. Ed Sheeran. The rapper opens up about learning he was going to become a father, and how his daughter inspired him to start making music again.
Macklemore, aka Ben Haggerty, says the song is for his daughter Sloane Ava Simone Haggerty, who was born on May 29th:
The song is the duo's first track since their breakout album The Heist back in 2012.
Macklemore says Growing Up felt like the "right song to re-emerge with."
