EVERETT -- A freight train derailed early Friday morning, canceling Northline Sounder routes between Everett and Seattle.

Both Sound Transit and Amtrak Cascades were canceled Friday morning after a portion of the freight train derailed at the entrance to the Everett train tunnel, My Everett News reported.

Sounder passengers at Mukilteo station were directed to the CT bus Route 417. Edmonds passengers were told to hit the CT 416, and Everett passengers were pushed to the ST Routes 510 and 511.

It is unknown when the Northline Sounder route would open again.
