SANTA ANA, Calif. -- A retired police officer was reunited with an infant, now a grown man, who he rescued from a dumpster 25 years ago.
According to Q13 FOX sister-station KTLA, Michael Buelna was responding to a reported stabbing in 1989 when he found a newborn baby abandoned behind a dumpster in an alley near the crime scene.
The officer grabbed the baby who was barely breathing and rushed him to a nearby paramedic. The boy, dubbed "Baby Adam" at the time, is now a 25-year-old man named Robin Barton.
He and his adoptive parents met with the retired officer Friday at police headquarters in Santa Ana.
