Dig deeper:

The Original Series Bike+ seat post could break during use, the company said on its recall website.

This could lead to a potential fall and injury risk.

So far, the company has received three reports of the seat post breaking.

The recall involves Bike+ model PL02 that were manufactured from December 2019 through July 2022.

The models should have a serial number that begins with "T." The serial number can be found inside the front fork, behind the front fork or behind the flywheel, Peloton said.

By the numbers:

There have been approximately 833,000 bikes sold in the United States and another 44,800 sold in Canada.

Will I get a refund?

No.

A refund will not be issued for any bikes involved in the recall, however, customers will receive a free seat post replacement.
