Police on the lookout for downtown Seattle stabbing suspect

SEATTLE -- A man was stabbed Saturday near the convention center and now police are on the lookout for the suspect.

According to Seattle police, security guards reported a man with a stab wound at 6:48 p.m. When officers arrived, they found a 21-year-old who had been stabbed in the torso.

Police said the man was not cooperating initially, but eventually gave a description of the attacker.

Medics transported the man to Harborview Medical Center where he was treated for non life-threatening injuries.

Officers searched the area near 9th Ave. and University Street but did not located the suspect or weapon.
