Small earthquakes hit Snohomish County



SEATTLE -- A magnitude 3.4 quake struck 6.8 miles southeast of Granite Falls at about 11:36 a.m. Friday,  at a depth of about 4.47 miles, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

A second one, with a lesser magnitude of 3.0, struck in the same location at 1:18 p.m., the USGS said. That was followed by a series of smaller quakes, the USGS said.

Several people reported feeling the first quake. No damage was immediately reported.
