TV meteorologist body-shamed for being pregnant fires back at 'haters'

PHILADELPHIA -- A pregnant television meteorologist took a stand for all the pregnant women who have to put up with body-shaming.

Katie Fehlinger works at CBS3 Philly and is happily expecting twin girls, but some rude viewers are trying -- and failing -- to body shame her.

Fehlinger decided enough was enough. After realizing that other women are probably getting similar comments, she decided to post a "message for the haters" on her Facebook page.

She has been called a "sausage in casing" and another told her "sticking your pregnant abdomen out like that is disgusting."

Her response: "Frankly, I don't care how "terrible" or "inappropriate" anyone thinks I look. I will gladly gain 50 pounds & suffer sleepless, uncomfortable nights if it means upping my chances to deliver 2 healthy baby girls."

The post has been like more than 70,000 times, and her page is getting flooded with positive comments about her pregnancy and her message.
