SEATTLE -- Initiative 1433 on the November ballot would raise the statewide minimum wage and require employers to offer their workers paid sick leave -- up to 7 days a year.
Under the initiative, the statewide minimum wage would go from the current $9.47 to $13.50 by 2020.
Supporters say we need to pay a living wage in this state, while opponents of I-1433 argue it will put people out of work.
