Woman posts 'boob picture' on Facebook to help save lives

BRITAIN -- A woman who lives in the United Kingdom posted a photo of her breast on Facebook in hopes of saving lives.

On May 11, a week before she was scheduled for a mastectomy, Lisa Royle posted a photo of her breast on Facebook to show how subtle dimples can be an early sign of breast cancer. She wrote:


In the photo, Royle's dimples look small and are barely noticeable. However, the indentations can sometimes be associated with breast cancer. As she wrote on Facebook, seeing a doctor as soon as possible is critical.


Royle's photo has been shared almost 70,000 times. On Monday, her husband said the surgery went well, adding a comment to Doyle's photo. He wrote:
