Chris Swanson

Chris Swanson joined FOX 13 Seattle in September 2025 as a freelance sports reporter and fills in as a sports anchor, and producer. His journey in the television business went from the Tri-Cities, to Oregon, Montana, Wisconsin, then full circle back to Washington. Swanson anchored sports at KXLY-TV in Spokane as well as two other stations in Seattle before landing at FOX 13.

A Puyallup native, and Franklin Pierce High School alum, Chris calls the South Puget Sound area home with his wife and sons. The 27-year veteran broadcaster has covered nearly every sport from Little League and Pro Rodeo to the Final Four and Stanley Cup Finals.

Telling stories is what keeps Swanson going, especially from the high school sports gyms and fields, which is where you can find him under the lights on Friday nights in the Fall. He has been honored for his work with a pair of Associated Press awards for Best TV Sports Coverage along his stops in the television business.
