SEATTLE -- Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson's agent sent a 16-page letter to the team regarding their position on contract negotiations, according to media reports.

NFL Netowrk's Ian Rapoport first reported the news on Twitter.

Agent Mark Rodgers sent the letter after making his case on a Seattle radio station nearly two weeks ago.

Russell Wilson is scheduled to make $1.54 million on the final year of his four-year contract with the Hawks.

The contents of the letter are unknown, but ESPN reports it's likely Rodgers again emphasized the point he made in the radio interview -- that Wilson is prepared to play out his rookie contract and go from there.

Wilson also made a similar statement last week after Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton signed a $103.8 million five-year deal.

Meanwhile, the Seahawks re-signed backup quarterback Tarvaris Jackson, as reported by FOX Sports. Specific details of the agreement were not immediately available.

Jackson has spent the last two years in Seattle behind Wilson.

And talks with linebacker Bobby Wagner are now underway, according to Rapoport.
