WSDOT crews work to reopen SR-167 in Auburn, Kent

This morning on Good Day Seattle, we spoke to WSDOT's Casey Conley to hear more about how crews are working tirelessly to reopen roadways that are still feeling the impacts of major flooding in the region.

Smooch benefit concert raises $2.7 million for Seattle Children’s Hospital

Hundreds filled the Showbox Market for the annual Smooch fundraiser, featuring performances by Blondshell, Bob Mould and Seattle’s own Western Haunts, along with culinary contributions from chef Ethan Stowell. The Sub Pop–KEXP collaboration raised more than $2.7 million for Seattle Children’s Hospital.

Twin brothers living out their ‘dream’ as officers with Renton Police Department

As December 18 marks “National Twin Day,” the Renton Police Department is highlighting two of its finest officers. Twin brothers, Suliasi “Suli” Tamaivena and Sitiveni “Siti” Tamaivena joined the department three years ago. They were born in Fiji, then moved to California at age four for a couple years, before their family made Washington their forever home. Suli and Siti have always worked the same job together. The twins said they landed their “dream” job with the police department, and said they hope to spend the rest of their careers serving the people of Renton.

Rainy weather returns to soaked Seattle on Sunday

River levels will recede today, but another round of river flooding is a possibility during the workweek. Right now, next week's flooding doesn't look as intense as this week's, but there will still be dangers and impacts.
